Letter From The Chairperson
Dear BDUG Member,
As members of BDUG, we are united by a shared commitment to exchanging information, collaborating on initiatives, identifying solutions, and preparing our organizations for ongoing industry change while incorporating best practices across our firms.
We are pleased to share a recent update to the BDUG bylaws. Membership eligibility has been expanded to include banks and similar financial institutions that are direct or indirect participants of DTCC. We look forward to broadening our membership and strengthening our community by connecting more individuals and fostering greater knowledge sharing across the industry.
Planning is already underway for the 2026 BDUG Annual Event, which will once again be held at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida, from September 14–16, 2026. Please be sure to reserve these dates on your calendar. Additional venue information can be found here:
https://www.opalcollection.com/sandpearl/
The event will focus on key industry developments, including DTCC modernization initiatives, tokenization, cybersecurity and regulatory guidance, technology advancements, and Treasury clearing. As always, the annual conference will offer a robust slate of continuing education credits and valuable opportunities to engage in person with subject matter experts from DTCC, the Federal Reserve, the OCC, regulators, and industry vendors.
This is also a reminder that annual membership dues were payable by the end of April. If you have not yet renewed, please complete the renewal form at: https://bdug.org/bdug-membership-registration-form/
For any membership‑related questions, please contact Scott MacDonald at Scott_R_Macdonald@KeyBank.com
We would also like to highlight the value of BDUG membership. The $1,200 annual dues include:
- One paid registration to the annual conference
- Unlimited access to the BDUG website for you and your staff
- Access to BDUG member‑only webinars
- Two voting memberships per organization
Your continued support helps ensure that banks maintain a strong and credible voice in shaping the future direction of our industry.
Finally, if you have not already done so, we encourage you to join the BDUG LinkedIn community to stay connected and informed throughout the year.
We look forward to another successful year and hope to see you in Clearwater Beach this September.
Sincerely,
Nilakshi Pradhan & Brittany Szczepanski
